In the podcast “Die neue Seltsamkeit”, Vandalismus, in collaboration with Audiolith, addresses various forms of mental challenges in a relaxed, chummy atmosphere: from absurdities and excessive demands in everyday life to multiple diagnoses, mental breakdowns, outpatient and inpatient therapy experiences and their integration into the social environment. Appreciative and cautious biographical work serves as a structure to link with early triggers.
One new guest visits each episode, with the emphasis on a diverse line-up.
The primary motivation is to make mental problems transparent without pathologizing or slipping into theories or science. Instead: Every three weeks, “therapeutic” buddy talk at the kitchen table, which can, may and should go into the nitty-gritty, but which is comprehensible because it is tangible, “free-flowing” from the personal wealth of experience of the guests and the moderator.
