On November 24th, our colleagues Jessica and Charlotte attended the first British Audio Awards - also known as 'The Speakies' in London.
The evening was a strong reminder: The British audio market is booming! The spotlight was particularly on storytelling but also on the entire creative ecosystem.
With audiobook discovery as an extremely important step in the industry, we had our marketing platform Lismio represented in a special way: There were small mints that were distributed throughout the entire event.
A few days later, we continued our journey on the other side of the ocean at the Guadalajara International Book Fair. There, we were very well represented by our colleagues Carlos, Fernanda, Ralf, and Tina. With a strong presence both at the German collective stand and in the "Sound regions: Commercial Strategies and audiobook success stories" panel of the Foro Audio FIL, our focus was on exchanging with other markets and strengthening agreements with publishers and partners to expand our project in the Spanish-speaking market.
Additionally, as part of our marketing strategy, our famous Lismio Cards couldn't be missing – they were literally snatched from our hands not only by publishers but also by curious audiences, all searching for new ways to discover good stories.
This year has been quite eventful for us. Over the past 12 months, we have grown together structurally and created the joint department Zebralution Digital Publishing from Open Publishing, bilandia and Zebralution Audiobook.
Together, we looked at this year's highlights in our last All Hands Call - which we lovingly call All Hoofs Call: contract renewals, new customers, events, thought leadership, team cohesion and many more.
The Frankfurt Book Fair particularly stands out in all our minds - a place where we came together from all locations and were able to present ourselves as one unit at our booth.
