Irene, Renate, Gritta, Gerda, Ina, Helga, Hiltraud, Vera and Brigitte lived through the Second World War as children and teenagers in Germany. Today, these women are over 80, some even over 90 years old and look back on exciting experiences and traumatic events. In my new podcast "The story of my life", we delve into the life stories of these women together. It's about emancipation, about being a woman, about reconciling family and paid work, about self-realisation. It's about how women have gone their own way.
I am Anna. I got to know these nine women through the "Friends of the Elderly" association and talked to them.
I want to tell you about my encounters with these women. What touched me, what made me think, what I learnt from them. Together with the Pool Artists editorial team, we will also place the events in a historical context.
