Disclaimer: The podcast is in German.
True crime cases from Germany – told by the investigators themselves. In the true crime podcast “Das Prinzip Mord”, journalists Sascha Lapp and David Sarno talk to homicide detectives, prosecutors and forensic scientists about real-life crime cases – and about the decisions, doubts and turning points that steer investigations in a particular direction. Many of the cases have made German criminal history: spectacular manhunts, unsolved murders, surprising breakthroughs – and investigations that sometimes last for decades. Sascha Lapp and David Sarno have been working for many years as writers and producers on true crime programmes for ZDF and ZDFinfo. For their book “Das Prinzip Mord” (Emons Verlag), they conducted in-depth interviews with investigators from across Germany. In this podcast, they bring these voices to the microphone. A podcast about murder cases, investigative work and the question: how do you track down a perpetrator?
