Digital distributor ZEBRALUTION is setting the course for its future development: Oke Göttlich is an experienced industry expert who is going to run the newly created Music department with immediate effect. Nils Hollmann takes over the entire responsibility for audio books as Managing Director Audiobook.
The shareholders and management of ZEBRALUTION GmbH have decided on a comprehensive new structure of ZEBRALUTION group´s top management. The restructuring includes the promotion of established staff members of the companies as well as the hiring of an experienced industry leader. The most important innovation is the splitting up of the Sales & Marketing department, where both music and audio book releases had previously been managed, into two independent business units, Music and Audiobook.
Oke Göttlich is going to take over management of the Music business unit with immediate effect as Managing Director. Göttlich is the founder and long-term managing shareholder of Hamburg-based digital distributor finetunes. He has been chairman of the German Association of Independent Music Creators, vut, and has been active as a business angel in the digital media industry.
“ZEBRALUTION is one of the most exciting and prescient projects in the music market. I am very much looking forward to continue to innovate digital music exploitation with the great Zebra team and to make it an even more attractive forward-looking distribution channel for all music creators”, Göttlich said.
The segment audio books and audio plays will be established as an independent business unit headed by Nils Hollmann, Managing Director Audiobook. Hollmann, who has been running the Sales & Marketing team of ZEBRALUTION as Global Director, has established streaming as the usage type with the fastest growth over the last years in the German audiobook market. He also established Spooks as a well-known, leading cross-platform end consumer brand. “The new business unit Audiobook can now fully focus on the needs of our customers from the publishing world. This enables us to push forward innovations in an even more targeted way for the spoken word format”, Hollmann stated.
Long-term ZEBRALUTION Operations Director Christoph Bornefeld-Ettmann is a new addition to the management of ZEBRALUTION technology subsidiary EMS. As Managing Director EMS he will lead the company together with EMS founder and long-term Managing Director Marc Radermacher. In the course of this process, the Content Operations team of ZEBRALUTION has also moved to EMS and will be delivering its duties for ZEBRALUTION customers from there.
Managing Directors Tina Jürgens (Managing Director of Podcast subsidiary zebra-audio.net) and Aranka Matits (Managing Director of rights subsidiary ZEBRALUTION International Rights BV headquartered in Amsterdam) complete the line-up of Managing Directors within the ZEBRALUTION group.
ZEBRLAUTION CEO Kurt Thielen is looking onto the expanded management team and the new structure with pride. “With this team, we are extremely well equipped to push ahead with the next phase of ZEBRALUTION’s development. Oke has been a long-term friend of our company and has a fantastic network, he has always excelled by his fair dealings with licensors during the time when he successfully founded finetunes, and by continuously following new creative paths of music exploitation.”
ZEBRALUTION COO Sascha Lazimbat added: “I am looking forward to Oke Göttlich joining our management team. At the same time we are very pleased to be able to honour the long years of service, the unique expertise and the impressive ability to innovate of Nils Hollmann and Chris Bornefeld-Ettmann with their new Managing Director positions.”
